Dreamscape - Heaven's Great Creation
The walls are grandiose to say the least. They’re massive like the bible says and full of color and life but I didn’t look to find their tops and I didn’t measure their thickness or note much at all of their spectacular architecture. They were, much like everything else in Heaven, so intricate that I could have spent a millennium on detailing every inch of them and exposing just how impossible it is that they could exist but I didn’t. They were just there, and within them was an entire world of more impossible curiosities.
At this moment in my eternity I had lived within those walls, forever was inside them because God is inside them. His holy courts exist there, my family and friends are there. The great heavenly universities are there and the very beginnings of worlds and universes emanate from the core of this place and still, there is more.
It was always, on Earth, within my nature to explore the forest and trails to see what may lay around the next bend or over the next hill. God’s creation, even on the Earth, is vast. It would be most difficult to find an end to, let alone understand each great and each tiny creature. Not to mention the habitat and all other plant life that coexists among a biome of organisms. Now, with that said, in Heaven, where our Lord uninhibited by man or any sinful state, has been creating for an eternity past and each new thing is unique from any of the rest. Therefore, the rest must always be at the beginning of His mind. How astoundingly great is our God! He has no bounds and His ends are limitless.
My nature in Heaven has not changed, though my body has been glorified. The things I loved on Earth are still the things I love in Heaven, in this case - exploration. I find myself being pulled by something, a curiosity of worship. We always worship God in Heaven, His glory is everywhere and in all things and a realization exists that He is the author of all things, so worship toward Him is automatic and impossible to not take part in. Wonder and awe is a constant expression and resistance is not even a thought.
The gate was living and breathing, pulsing with life, as if, at its very core was a heartbeat. Milky and white, with golden hued rainbows erupting forward and all around. It was brilliant and magnificent, shining bright and exceeding tall. An army could pass through and vanish beyond it. It was, and is, one of twelve heavenly gates of pearl. I imagine that it must be so expansive because some of the angels are so grand. Some of them are like you and I but others are like giants arrayed for war and there are armies of them proceeding forth from the throne of God. The writer of the Book of Revelation was accurate when he stated the gate was fashioned from a single pearl. How large a pearl it is and uncut, shaped by some divine form of nature into a golden white marble. If we think about a wormhole existing in the realms of space and draw that tunnel or portal in a diagram then it would be a two dimensional circle just like a gate would merely be hole in the wall. But in standing before that wormhole it would become, to our eyes, a three dimensional sphere just as was this pearl.
And so, being pulled by my curiosity, I walked through the pearly gate.
I entered another world, a world still very much Heaven but outside the walls. I saw the enormity of the New Jerusalem vanish into the distance and noted my surroundings. So many colors, a hundred shades of green. It was very earth like, with tall mountains in the distance and forests, waterfalls and thick cauliflower cumulus clouds, sunshine and planets. I saw other travelers coming and going. It seemed as though each one of us were mission oriented at that point, we were going somewhere and we didn’t communicate. They turned right or left but I continued on the forested path ahead. There were other lands in those directions, other heavenly countries and heavenly civilizations.
I continued on, it was my great joy to behold the realms of our God. Something unseen and unheard, even unfelt pulled on me and led me and now finally, I could begin to hear its song within my soul. Its song was a smell whose essence was sweet and tasted divine.
Our God is so large that the whole earth to Him is like nothing more than a mere vapor being diffused by the violent gales of a hurricane and His power is like the surges of the sun, devouring everything in its path. His fierce phenomenon is that of creation, His light gives way to matter. The energy of our Lord’s very heartbeat can bear galaxies.
Now it was that which called me, that song which directed my path. I came to a forest with magnificent trees, tall and with branches reaching far out to either side. The song grew louder within me until I, the lone explorer many hundreds of miles away from any manly construct, discovered them.
They stepped curiously out onto a massive branch, one by one beings of light came to welcome me. They were a people who shined with God’s brightness and sang, with the voices of angels, words that I have never heard. They were perfect and sinless and beautiful, their very existence was birthed forth from the throne room of God. These exquisite entities were children of worship, worship magnified in the Father’s presence, born of adoration and light and love. They are a tribe that could only exist by His unimpeded presence.
I sat with them, beholding their forms. There were children and parents and grandparents. All mysteriously translucent yet solid, full of my own reflection but reflecting it back with joy and happiness, just as the Father would gaze lovingly toward me when I myself was, at one, time full of sin and disgust with myself. Not so, not now and this is the Kingdom of Heaven. Every tear with will be wiped from our eyes.
This was dream, a part of Heaven that God, in His great love, has reserved for me because He knows me and let me see just a glimpse of it ahead of time.
God is truly great!
